On Sunday, July
14, 2002, Old Timer fans and a large contingent of their pet dogs,
large and small, gathered in the Merkur parking lot on Frauentorgasse
in Tulln to see the start of the 21st Dopplerhuetten-Bergwertungsfahrt.
Under a blue sky
and hot sun, the rally attracted participants in five categories of
automobiles and motorcycles. The route followed highway LH120 to
Tulbingerstrasse where it wound its way up and through the romantic
Vienna Woods to Koenigstetten then turning off on to LH121 to
Tulbinger Kogl over to L2012 to Katzelsdorf am Wienerwald over to
L2135 to Nitzing and then on L2011 to complete the run to the finish
line on Frauentorgasse in Tulln. The route included two bridges and a
race course on the Langenbebarn airfield that had served as a race
track in the 1950s and 1960s.

Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible.

Giulia Veloce Spider, Triumph Spitfire MkIII, Steyr-Puch 700C as well
as a 850 Sport Coupé, and a Austin Mini 850 MkIII.
