Gluehwein and Punch Recipes

Gluehwein With BrandyGluehwein With Brandy

4 cloves 
1 lemon 
600 ml (1 pint) red wine 
75 g (3 oz) brown sugar 
Two 5 cm (2 inch) cinnamon sticks 
150 ml (¼ pint) brandy 

Directions:

Push the cloves into the lemon. Put them into a saucepan along with the wine, the sugar and the cinnamon sticks. Bring them to simmering point and then simmer gently,with a lid on, for about 2-4 minutes (until warmed). Remove from the heat, add the brandy, strain and enjoy!

 

 

Easy Does It

Red or white wine
Water
Sugar
Glühfix bags (or better still, the good 'loose' stuff)

Directions:

Bring wine and about 1 cup water to a boil. Steep with 2 or 3 Glühfix bags (or a full tea ball) for 5 minutes. Add sugar to taste.

A Recipe for a Holiday Punch

Ingredients:
4 litres of Wein
Cinnamon
Cloves
2 Sicily (Lemon juice)
2 Lemons

Boil up the whole mixture and leave it to stand for 12 hours. Then boil 250 grams tea in 7 litres water. Stir the tea well with the other ingredients and add 6 kilograms of sugar and 5 litres of orange juice. Finally add 6 litres of rum and 24 litres of wine, stir it and it is ready. Cheers!
