Greetings all,
Coming from the State of Arizona I can attest to exceptional Mexican food. I recently came across Estancia Santa Cruz Tapas & Grill located in the Prater (Hauptallee 8) www.santacruz.at.
I must say I was impressed with the atmosphere, and the food was very good! It is the first time I could actually find Jalapenos on a menu in Austria!!!
Give it a try if you are craving Mexican food. If anybody else knows of an exceptional, and traditional Mexican food restaurant in Wien, I would be eager to hear about it.
Regards,
Randy |

| I live near Jalisco and go there every so often - love the garden in summer. The fajitas maximilianos are great and my daughter will eat the guac with a spoon. |

| Estancia is terrible. If this is good by Arizona standards then you should move to California. Don't they hate mexicans in Arizona??? |

I like Fresco Grill (www.frescogrill.com.) I believe one of the owners is American and English is often spoken there.
Lines can be long there but worth it. |

As a Mexican food snob, I totally agree with last two posters - Los Mexikas is the only real Mexican restaurant in town. All the others are like eating Mexican food in New Jersey (no offense to NJ).
There is also a new Mexican grocery on Siebensterngasse (can't remember the name, they have fliers at Los Mexikas). They sell everything you could want and have fresh corn tortillas. All kinds of dried chiles, black beans, ...Shop there now and keep it open. |

| I have been to Mex and Co on Webgasse about 3 times since I first saw the post about them, and they were not open, and had 'opening soon' signs up. The last time I went by them was a few weeks ago. Does anyone know if they will open soon? |

| probably best if you send them an email or call them. The details are on their website. Try the one on Siebensterngasse, looks really good. |

It's ok... some things are better than others. The margarita's are quite good and cheap during happy hour. |
