Could anyone recommend an English speaking tax consultant to us? We are new here and know nothing about Austrian tax policy. I know it's not tax season yet, but we would like to prepare early. Thank you!

I recently attended an excellent presentation at the Expat Center by the Esquire Group. They specialize in both USA and Austria tax.

They are probably expensive too. Search on this forum for accountants, some people have given good recommendations.
You can always go to one and have the first consultation free. That way you can ask questions and get a sense of the person. For example, I saw one in the 1st district and she gave me wrong info, was posh and expensive. Stupid. |

Welkom2wien Fion, PM whenever & I shall give you the contact details of an english spkg tax consultant who advised me correctly and was right in making a fair price too. Had a similar experience like WienA but still lucky to find this english speaking tax consultant (an austrian guy;) |

I have been following this thread to see if there have been any updates on a personal references for a US tax consultant here in Austria. I am very curious if anybody has located one or not?

the tax consultant (Austrian/CPA) ' was referring, relocated 2 Austria after graduating (accounting majors) from Univ of Houston, TX; so he could still clarify some double-taxation issues. |
