Persons
with disabilities can make use of Vienna's public transportation
service only to a limited degree: the entrances of most streetcars
and busses have steps - with the exception of a number of busses with
street-level entrances. Many of the busses on the 5A, 7A, 8A, 13A,
57A, 63A, 77A, 83A and 84A lines have entrances with fold-out ramps.
Vienna's
underground stations are better equipped. 80% of all stations have
"guiding strips" for the visually impaired, showing the way
to stairs, escalators and elevators. In addition, the group
"Blickkontakt" ("Eye Contact," Tel. 409 82 22),
in conjunction with the Vienna transportation system, has developed a
touchable station map for Vienna's underground system - it displays
the accessibility of each station. Available at the Vienna
