Hi,
Can anyone reccomend an insurace guy or company for a car I have just bought? Also it would be very helpful if this peron could speak English, and is in Vienna.Is it possible to buy insurace online here like in the UK with so many different insurance companies?
What is the best way to go?

i think there is an online one from uniqua – but it will be in german. When you apply online they used to give cheaper prices. check online

I would just not advise Generali … They are difficult when it comes to paying out.
Be vigilant with these guys – it’s all in small print!
We use Zurich and have never had a problem with them, they speak English as well:

A word of advice: the equivalent of protecting your no claims bonus in Austria is paying to keep your premiums at step 0. This is money well spent in my opinion since if you ever have to make a claim your future premiums will go through the roof.

They were a few quid a month extra than Zurich, but the lady came to me in person, came with me to register my car and gave me alot of help and tips.We have our house insurance with them too and have always recieved a high level of customer service.
