    Hi all,
Does anyone have a firsthand experience in Dublin with regards to cost of living, taxes, any pluses and minuses of living there?

thanks in advance for any info you’d share!

I’ve lived in Dublin for 7/8 years, up until 2 years ago….

By going on what friends say, right now the whole of Ireland is in depression mode.

Cost of living is high, taxes are high, but you don’t seem to get anything in return for your taxes, no healthcare system worth talking about, no transport system worth talking about, no parks and the government is a bit of a sham.

That being said, there’s something about the place that I love, would I move back ? 99 % not, it’d take something very special to get me to return.

I find the things I complain about in Vienna are so small fry compared to the complaints living in Dublin.

It has the coast though, which is amazing, and the people are friendly and easy going…….

pm me for any more specifics…..

Not at all. Even if I ever go there, it will be just short-term. But I don’t think it is happening at all- thanks god 😉
