Does anyone have suggestions where best to buy a 20lb turkey and how much it would cost roughly?
I buy two 4,2kg Turkeys from Merkur (about 18.5lbs) enough for about 10ish people. The frozen ones are about €25 each and the fresh ones about €22-27 each. I have cooked both. The frozen ones are imported from France and taste better if you brine them (I can send the recipe). If you go to a market and order one large bird (8-10kg) it can cost €60-80 depending on the market.

Hi Luvwines,
Thanks for your response 🙂 Could you PM me the recipe as you mentioned?
I buy my turkeys from Wildhandel Kriegler in Vienna’s 23rd district (you will need to order in advance.)
